Support and Counseling

Individual Counseling and Support Groups

My Sisters' Place (MSP) offers individual counseling for survivors of domestic violence with the goal of increasing their ability to stay safe in the future and heal from the effects of violence. Counselors provide supportive advocacy, case management, and court accompaniment.

Additionally, counselors facilitate support groups in various locations throughout Westchester.  We offer both daytime and evening support groups in English and Spanish.  Support groups provide clients with a safe place to begin to heal from the trauma of the abuse they have experienced. Each group runs for a ten-week cycle and is facilitated by a trained and experienced counselor.

Child Protective Services (CPS) Collaboration

MSP counselors are located at all four Westchester Child Protective Services (CPS) district offices and provide advocacy and education to women who are experiencing both domestic violence and child maltreatment issues.  MSP counselors work alongside CPS caseworkers to ensure that the safety and security needs of each client are preserved. MSP counselors independently provide supportive counseling, safety planning, information, court accompaniment, and referrals.
