What We Do
My Sisters' Place (MSP) provides comprehensive shelter, advocacy, legal services, and supportive services for victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual abuse, stalking, and human trafficking in Westchester County, New York. Services and programs include:
- Two emergency shelters
- A 24-hour hotline for assistance and referrals
- Transitional Housing
- Counseling and support groups in English and Spanish
- A full-service Legal Center that provides advice and direct representation in family law, immigration law, and special litigation and appeals
- A Life Skills program that includes job training
- A Sisters-in-Law program that trains community volunteers to act as advocates of victims obtaining legal services
- Support groups and a therapeutic art program for children who have experienced domestic violence
- Education and prevention efforts to prevent teen dating violence
- Professional and community training/education on domestic violence, human trafficking, and other related topics
