Community Trainer
JOB CLASSIFICATION: Regular/Full time/Flexible/Non-Exempt
LOCATION: This opportunity is primarily based in White Plains, NY – currently hybrid, with in-person work on an as-needed basis. The role involves travel throughout Westchester County to meet the needs of our community partners including (but not limited to) middle and high schools, community-based organizations and other youth-serving agencies.
JOB OVERVIEW: As a Community Trainer, you will work to further MSP’s mission in accordance with our guiding principles as part of the Education and Prevention Team (EPT). The Community Trainer is expected to provide programming in a way that is compassionate and innovative, while adhering to culturally appropriate best practices and agency expectations. Much of this role will require strong relationship building skills to further outreach initiatives and strengthen our current stakeholder dynamics. The ideal individual for this position will understand the Westchester County landscape, intentionally develop and advance our partnerships, and strategically develop curriculum to align with our grant opportunities and community needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Facilitate short- and long-term teen dating violence prevention workshops and presentations in Westchester County schools, community groups, conferences, and youth treatment facilities.
- Develop Healthy Relationship workshops, trainings, and long-term programming, including curricula development as needed.
- Plan, implement, and facilitate short and long-term programming, including week-long leadership development opportunities for middle and high school youth.
- Manage the development and overall experience for MSP’s Youth Council and Coordinated Community Response Team to strengthen the EPT’s services and community partnerships.
- Facilitate trainings for youth-serving professionals and parents on dating violence, intimate partner violence, and peer-to-peer relationship dynamics.
- Manage the scheduling system for all forms of engagement, providing outreach and customer service for external partners.
- Enter workshop evaluation data in database and run reports as needed.
- Analyze workshop data and identify relevant trends to strengthen and establish necessary curriculum, resources, and materials.
- Evaluate outcomes and write monthly, quarterly, and annual grant reports.
- Collaborate with MSP teams to broaden organization’s reach and education.
- Projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Arts in social work, sociology, gender/women’s studies or education preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel throughout Westchester County.
- Strong public speaking, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Highly organized with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Flexible, creative, and adaptable with a positive attitude and sense of humor.
- Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
- Proficient with computers and open to ongoing training and professional development.
- Experience working with adolescents and knowledge of teen dating violence, youth development, or anti-oppression practices preferred.
- Demonstrates innovative and creative approaches to delivering content and discussion topics.
- Comfort with building new relationships and fostering current relationships.
- Ability to manage a growing and diverse account portfolio.

Salary: $52,500, commensurate with experience
